Nonchalant – Bet yall forgot about her!
Dammmmn I use to love her song..
“Until the Day”
Nonchalant had a smooth, laid-back style delivering intelligent lyrics that fit her chosen name. The Washington, D.C., native released one album in 1996, Until the Day, in which she delivered intelligent lyrics over R&B-laced productions. The standout single 5 o’clock sold over 500,000 copies and raised the question to the masses, “Where You Gone Be?”, there response “Outside on the corner” as amplified at one of her many sold out shows. This single became a street anthem and hip-hop classic to many.So the question is “Where is Non?”. Although she has been out of the limelight she has not lost her hunger or love for entertainment. She found a home on a number 1 radio station WPGC 95.5 from 6-10 replacing Tigger as one half of the Home Team. During this time she then learned how to mix on the one and two as well as gain skills as a music studio engineer. But the pen and pad was never far away, always writing trying to make that next hit. Now as the president of her own independant label, ARALC ENT. coupled with major distribution she plans to pickup where she left off giving the world melodies and lyrics as only she can.
